Girl and Boy Scouts
Both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts have groups here at STAA. Our students are at all levels from Tiger scouts to Boy Scouts and from Daisies to Cadets in Girl Scouts. Scouts are allowed to show their pride by wearing their sashes or shirts on days they have meetings.
Student Council
STAA’s Student Council is very active in providing the student body with stewardship opportunities and fun school activities throughout the year. They coordinate our Generous Dress Down Day (donating money or goods for local charities), food pantry drives, Catholic Schools Week activities, fun holiday activities (costume contest at Halloween and ugly sweater contest at Christmas), bake sales, nacho sales, and other activities.
Robotics
Middle school students build and program a robot to compete in regional/state FIRST Lego League events. Robotics not only grows your problem-solving and leadership skills, but it’s also fun!
Girls on the Run
Twice per week for 10 weeks, girls will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels, and learn important life skills. Trained and caring coaches (a few of our own STAA teachers) lead 3rd-5th grade girls through interactive lessons and movement activities.
Crazy 8s Math Club
Meeting once per week for 8 weeks, students in grades 3-5 will build stuff, run and jump, and make music, mischief and memories in this totally new kind of math club.
Dance Club
Focused on ballet and creative movement, this club meets once per week for 8 weeks and is available to students in grades K5-3.
Arts & Crafts Club
Open to students in grades 1-3, this club offers a fun arts and crafts session each week.
STEM Club
Students work with their peers to complete various challenges in science, technology, engineering, and math. Open to grades 3-5, this club meets once a week for 8 weeks.
“The energy when we all come together is incredible.”
